A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped out with the stone picking over the weekend in the new training pitch, there was a great crowd with everyone giving of their time with a heart and a half. THe reseeding has now been done to get the final piece of the development in place.
The last couple of weeks has seen many of our underage players representing us with distinction 
Congratulations to Tara Walsh of Coolrecuil who represented the club in Croke Park last week for the launch of Gaelic for Girls, as she has been doing for our underage girls teams Tara stood out and displayed her talents on the Head quarters pitch.
Congratulations to u 16 hurler Sean Quinn who won the Connacht U 16 Poc Fada, held in Tooreen, last week. Sean follows in his father Joe's footsteps with Joe having won the senior competition in Connacht in his prime. 
Finally congratulations to Conan Marren of Letterbrone who the U12 skills competition at Markievic Park of the weekend of the County under-age finals festival. 
Our u10 footballers were also in County Final action in the community games putting in a great campaign to reach the final.Well done to the squad and mentors.

Our Senior footballers got their championship campaign back on track with a hard fought win over St John's in Bunninadden on Saturday night last, in a game of 2 penalties we emerged victorious with John Quinn dispatching our penalty to the net while Seamie Gildea made a great save from the John's penalty only to see the rebound dispatched to the net. We now play Geevagh on Saturday week in round three.
Our senior hurlers came out second best in the local derby with Tubbercurry also in the championship over the weekend , losing on a score line of 2-19 to 3-08.
Our minor Footballers drew with Castleconnor in the quarter final of the league on Thursday last and now face the replay in Castlconnor on this Thursday.
There were big celebrations in the Brennan Household in Rhue over the last number of Weeks.Congratulations to our former senior footballer Padraig and his new wife Sheree while also in the last couple of weeks his Sister Aoife gave birth to a son Fionn. Congratulations to proud grandparents Mattie and Margaret.
Also congratulations to our regular bingo player Maureen Villonova who scooped the top prize of €12,000 in our Tuesday night snowball game.
We are always on the look out for volunteers to help out on teams for the runnng of the bingo on Tuesday nights, its on a rota of 2 weeks in every six so please contact David McVeigh to help out.
