With sadness we learned of the passing of Gerry Dunne ‘Cairns Lodge ‘Aclare on on Thursday last in his 91st year RIP. Gerry was part of the 1956 Senior Championship team and although active on the field in his younger years, in later times he enjoyed being a spectator particularly when his nephews John and Jim Kent were playing for Sligo . A quiet gentleman with a love of the land is the way Gerry will be remembered. He was one of eight siblings and was the last one to go to his eternal reward .
He is now with his wife Nancy to who he was devoted and his daughter Patricia who also passed away before him and his brothers and sisters. We send our condolences to his daughter Geraldine, her husband Chris, to his son in law Paul Burg And grandchildren Sophia Myles And Nichole, to his nieces and nephews, all the extended family, his neighbours and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
