Notes :
The senior ladies continued their winning ways this morning when they travelled to St Mary’s for their second game of the season against the same team this time in the League opener and bagged a nice win on a scoreline of 3/8 to 1/6. It wasn’t the case for our Junior men who played Cloonacool also for the second time in a week and were beaten Saturday evening by 2/7 to 9 points . Our senior men were the third team in action this week also with the same opponents, Tubbercurry, this time in the league opener , the game played under lights at home on Thursday night last . The feeling at the final whistle when the scoreline showed a draw of 12 points to 1/9, seemed to be that it was the deserved result for both teams .
A big thank you to everyone who donated scrap metal to our collection which was a great success and credit must be given to the strong forces behind the drive , Pat Normanly and Danny Jones and indeed to all the collectors around the parish who helped collecting and organising it all . Our next fundraiser is the very popular Good Friday Table Quiz and I have it on good authority that Paddy the dark destroyer Henry is up nights pouring over the quiz questions getting them just right for the night ! The senior ladies are once again holding their Easter Camp for the younger generation and numbers are coming in for this . They are running with April 16th 17th And 18th so contact the club for your name to be added .
Congratulations to Niamh Kelly and Shane Dunne who married on Friday last and best wishes for their future happiness together .
Good luck to our u16s, our u12s and our u21s who start their seasons this week .
