The Senior Men recorded an impressive win against neighbours
Tubbercurry in round 4 of the Sligo Senior Championship. After a slow
start the team pulled together running out winners on a score of 2-15
to 8points. John Quinn topped the scoring with an impressive tally of
2-5. The game also marked the return of the Dunne brothers, Alan and
Shane and Brian Kennedy who have all recovered from recent injuries.
The team play Coolaney/Mullinabreena is the last round of the group
stages this Saturday the 25th of August at 5:30 in Connolly Park,
Collooney. The team currently sit at the top of group 2 and your

The Senior Ladies had their first outing of the championship campaign
on Sunday when they took on Geevagh in Geevagh. The team struggled
against the wind in the first half but came out in the second half and
put up a spirited performance. It wasn't enough as the current senior
champions, Geevagh ran out easy winners. The ladies team continue to
train and will play old rivals Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on the 2nd of
September in Oxfield Park.
The Minor boys team put up a good performance against St. Marys in
round 4 of the championship but goals cost the team as they lost out
4-13 to 11 points. The team play St. Johns in the last group game of
the championship on Thursday night at 7pm in St. Johns.
The U16 boys team had a good win over Geevagh last week in round 4 of
the championship. The final score was 4-9 to 1-8.
The U-14s play Coolera/Strandhill in the championship on Friday at 7pm
The U-12 team play Curry tonight in the Group 1 Cup Semi Final in
Markievicz Park at 6pm. The Group 4 team play Ballisodare on Thursday
night in the Group 4 Shield Semi final in Markievics Park at 6.45pm.
