Our Senior Men play Geevagh in round 4 of the Divison 1 league on
Sunday, in Tourlestrane at 2.30.

The Division 4 team started their league campaign with a win in the
first round of the league. With players returning after a break from
football and others from retirement, the team worked hard and ran out
winners on a scoreline of 2.13 to 2.3. The team lined out as follows
Padraig McVeigh, Enda Gallagher, Ciaran Carty, Shane Neary, Sean
Lynch, Dermot Brennan, Declan Marren, Rory Brennan, Colm McVeigh, John
Egan (capt), Eoin O’Donnell, Tom Brennan, Aidan Walsh, Daryn Walsh,
Enda Kelly. Subs used Jerome Quinn, Ciaran Durkin, Cathal Gavaghan,
Aoron Murtagh & John Kelly. The team continue to train on Tuesdays and
Thursdays and play away to Bunninadden in the next round.

Our Senior ladies lost out on the narrowest of margins in the first
round of the league against Eoghan Rua. The girls lead at half time
but the wintery conitions in Castleconnor proved too much and the team
lost out in the end on a score line of 3-8 to 3-7. Although the result
went the wrong way, their was great performances from Jenny Lundy,
Siobhan Carty, Claire Colleran, Anna Corcoran, Niamh Kelly and Katie
Walsh. Laura Neary and Claire McIntyre also marked their return to
football with excellent defending. The team now play Drumcliff/Rosses
Point on Saturday evening in the second round of the Senior League.
The match is at 7pm and a home game for the girls so your support
would be appreciated. Senior ladies train on Tuesday and Thursday at
7pm on the training field.

The minor boys team lost out to Tubbercurry on a scoreline of 1.8 to
3.8. They played Coolaney/Mullinabreena on Tuesday night in an away
tie.
