Our Club and Tourlestrane GAA Fundraising Committee are hosting a Monster Quiz on Good Friday, 25th of March, in Banada Abbey Hall.The quiz starts at 8.30pm and Paddy Henry (Rhue) is the MC for the night. Tables of 4 cost €40. There will be a raffle for a Tourlestrane GAA Mascot on the night of the quiz. The prize is currently on display in Kennedy's, Aclare. Lines are €2. A raffle on the night will have prizes from Beyonce tickets to clothes vouchers. Tables can be pre-booked through club secretary, Amanda Walsh. 


Our U-16 boys are the first football team in the club to take to the field when they start their league campaign on Sunday at 11am in Tourlestrane. The team take on Ballymote/Bunninadden.


Our Senior Men will have their first outing of the season ahead on the weekend of the 19th of March when they play Shamrock Gaels in Tourlestrane. 


Hard luck to St. Attracta's CS Senior Boys team who lost to Summerhill in the Connacht A Schools Final on Saturday in Markievicz Park. The club was represented through Adam Broe, Darren Leonard, Liam Gaughan, Richie Lang, Conan Marren, Seán McVeigh, Conor Walsh and Daniel Clarke, Senior Footballer, Stephen Henry was also a selector with the team. 
Congratulations to Darren O'Hara who lined out in the half back line for the Summerhill team.

Well done to Katie Walsh, Anna Corcoran, Paddy Henry and the Sligo Ladies team who secured their first win of their Divison 2 league campaign when they overcame Kildare on Sunday in Cloonacool.
Our Senior Ladies start their league campaign on Sunday when they play in the first round of the league. The team travel to Calry to in round 1 of the league. Training continues this Friday night at 9pm. 

Hard luck to Noel Gaughan, Brian Egan, Adrian McIntyre, Stephen Henry and the Sligo Senior men who lost to Longford in Markievicz Park. 

Well done to Tom Brennan, Ruairi Brennan, Peader Leonard and the Sligo Hurlers who recorded a win over Fermanagh in round 1 of the National League in Markievicz on Sunday. 

The next Banada Teenage Disco will take place on Friday the 18th of March (St. Patrick's Weekend).

Bingo at Banada Abbey every Tuesday 8.30pm. Great opportunity to win next Tuesday when the Snowball is €4,600 on 50 calls or less and the Lotto is at €280.  Extra €170 on offer on lucky No 3.

Darkness into Light takes place in Banada this year on May 7th.


Senior Ladies player, Nicola Brennan is running a Kettlebells class every Thursday night in the Ox Mountain Center, Drummartin from 8-9pm. Cost: €5. Duration: 60 minutes Beginners of all ages are always welcome! Bring: Plenty water and a yoga mat.
