A huge congratulations to our U-12 girls team who were crowned "A" league champions on Tuesday night. The girls overcame Eastern Harps in their final game having over come strong oppoisiton in St. Nathy's and Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in their respective quarter final and semi final games. Thank you to all parents, mentors and managers involved with the team on their great work.

Hard luck to the Sligo Hurlers who lost to Louth by 4 points in the Lory Meagher Cup in Croke Park on Saturday last. The team showed great determination throughout the campaign and we as a club are very proud of all our representatives on the team; Tom Brennan, Ruairí Brennan, Peadar Leonard, Gavin Feely, Declan Loughnane and Patrick Burke.
Well done to our Division 4 team who recorded a 2-11 to 0-7 win over Calry/St. Joseph's on Friday last in round 5 of the league. The team sit on top of the group having won all 5 of their games.
Hard luck to our Senior Men's 7s team who lost the final of the Noel McHale Memorial 7s last weekend in Knockmore. The team lost to Ballina in the first round but then scored wins over Aghamore, Knockmore B and Knockmore C which allowed them to advance to the semi final where they defeated Moy Davitts.
The team then met Ballina Stephanites for the second time in the final, with the Mayo side scoring a goal from a penalty with the last kick of the game to hand them victory on a score of 1-10 to 1-09. Our 7s team for the day was: Gerry McGowan, Barry Walsh, John Francis Carr, Gary Gaughan, John Quinn, Niall Egan, Alan Dunne, John Marren, James Leonard, Darren Leonard.
The team play Aghamore in the Leo Kenny Cup on Tuesday night at 7.30pm in Aghamore in round 5 of the compeition. The team start their Kiernan Cup campaign on Friday night when they take on neighbours, Tubbercurry at 8pm in Kilcoyne Park.
There was a great evening of football in Tourlestrane on Wednesday evening last when our U10 team hosted Eastern Harps.
Our U-12 boys take on St. Molaise Gaels in Tourlestrane this Tuesday at 7pm in round 6 of their league campaign. Our U-14 boys take on St. Michael's at 7pm on Thursday evening at 7pm in St. Michael's.
The fixtures for our U-14 Girls Feile Finals Journey 2016 has been made. Our team will be hosted by Kanturk, Co. Cork and have been grouped with Kanturk, Killshannig and Clonguish. The girls will play Clonguish in their opening game at 5.45pm on Friday the 24th of June followed by another game on the same evening at 6.30pm against Killshannig. The teams final game of the group stages will take place on Saturday morning, the 25th of June when they take on hosts, Kanturk.
The club are looking into running a Cardiac Screening Programme if there is interest within the club. It is a Doctor-led Cardiac Screening service to clubs, schools & companies nationwide. The service is ultimately aimed at reducing the incidents of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) in Ireland and promoting a healthy lifestyle.Each screening takes 20 minutes andthe service can screen 45 per day. Their minimum number is 22. They screen individuals from age 12+. The individual fee for the Cardiac Screening service is €65. If you are interested in this service, please contact your club manager or any club officer.
Due to the sad loss of Paul Walsh (RIP) the tractor drive was postponed in April. The tractor drive is now going to take place on Sunday the 19th of June with all proceeds going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in memory of Paul.
