With the 2013 season coming to a close, the club held the last quarterly draw for this year. The draw took place on Sunday last, the 1st of December at 2pm in the Clubhouse with over €4,400 in prizes. The club are greatly appreciative of all our supporters both near and far who continue to support our club both on and off the field.
The winners of the draw were as follows: the top prize of €1,000 went to Porick and Elaine Murray, €500 to Stephen Henry and John Gilespie, €250 to Sandy O'Hara, Eamon Walsh, Nace Feeley and Siobhan Crawley. The €200 prizes went to Paul Murphy and Karen Gallagher. Finally there were 10 €100 winners in John (pub) Gallagher, Eugene Leonard, Paula Gavaghan, Joe Doherty, Luke Colleran, Seamus Haran, Breege O'Hara, Adrian Gallagher, Enda Feeley and Gerard Quinn (London).
Again, we thank you all for your support and look forward to your continue support in 2014. Lottery Syndicate tickets for 2014 will be on sale in the coming weeks.
The draw was followed by an deserved high to round off the season. Well done to our Senior Hurlers on retaining the Martin Brennan Memorial cup.
Congratulations to our U-16 Ladies team who captured the county title on recently when they overcame St Michael's in Keash. The girls lead at the interval on a scoreline of 3-1 to 2 points and went on to finish out the game on a full time score of 4-7 to 2-3. Sophie Leonard, team captain, received the cup on behalf of the team. Well done to all the girls and management.
This is in addition to their championship success this year also.
