Our Senior men play Coolera/Strandhill this Sunday the 1st of September at 1.30pm in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry in the Belfry Senior Football Championship Quarter Final. Please support.

The Junior men returned to the field last night (Monday the 26th of August) when they beat Castleconnor in round 2 of the championship. The team put in a much improved display from their game in the opening round against St. John's and ran out easy winners on a scoreline of 6-25 to 1-5. Next up for the team is Ballymote in Tourlestrane, this game takes place tomorrow (Wednesday the 28th of August) at 7pm. This is another must win game for the team if they are to progress to the knockout stages.

The club experienced double disappointment at the hands of St. Mary's last week. First up was the U-16s who played last Monday, 3-14 to 7 points was the score at the final whistle in Kent Park. Two days later, Our minors were out of luck again when they went down on a final score of 1-23 to 1-6 in Tourlestrane. The next round for the U-16s is on the 2nd of  September when they take on St. Molaise Gaels at 7pm in Grange. The minors are back in action this Friday when they play Calry/St. Joseph's at 7pm in Hazelwood.

The U-14 boys played out a draw 1-14 to 2-11 in a tough encounter with Coolaney/Mullinabreena in round 1 of the championship on Friday last. The team play Coolera/Strandhill this Friday at 7pm in Tourlestrane.

Well done to 4 of our U-12 boys who represented the club so well at the county skills evening.

Our Intermediate ladies are also in action this Sunday the 1st of Septmeber at 12.00pm in Tourlestrane when they take on St. Farnan's. Hard luck to Tracy O'Hara, Claire Colleran and the rest of the Sligo Ladies team and management who lost to Down in the All Ireland Intermediate Quarter Final on Saturday evening last.

Our U-12 Hurlers play in the county final tonight (Tuesday the 27th of August) in Markievicz Park. The team take on Calry/St. Joseph's at 6pm.

Congratulations to our U-14 Hurlers who were crowned county league champions on Friday night last. The team defeated Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on a scoreline of 4-5 to 1-2. The team take on the same opposition in the county semi final of the championship on Thursday at 7pm in Oxfield.

Commiserations to our U-16 Hurlers who lost the county final last night (Monday the 26th of August.) The team were beaten by a stronger Easkey team, final score 3-15 to 1-10.

Congratulations to Leonie Gaughan, Lislea and Castlerock NS, who lined out for Mayo School Girls in the exhibition game in Croke Park on Sunday last. The game took place at half time of the Mayo/Tyrone game. Leonie put in an excellent performance at mid field and was the scorer of a point in the Mayo team win.
