Our Senior Men's team continue to prepare for their opening round of their Division 1 league campaign. The team were due to play last weekend but the game was postponed. The team are due to play St. Molaise games this weekend in Monsignor Hynes Park. The Division 3 put in a good performance in a challenge against Aughamore recently. The team take to the field this weekend when they take on St. Michael's on Friday evening at 5pm in an away fixture. The Minor boys played out tight game which ended in a draw with Tubbercurry/Cloonacool recently. The final score was 3-4 to 2-7. The team face a tough challenge in their next game when they take on St. Mary's on the 2nd of April. The U-16 boys team struggled to get on top of their game in cold conditions on Sunday last when they lost out to neighbours Curry on a scoreline of 2-6 to 3 points. The team play away to Shamrock Gaels in Round 3 which will take place on the 5th of April. The Senior Ladies have their first league game this weekend. The details of opposition or venue were not available at the time of printing. The team are continuing to train hard under Paddy Henry on a Friday night and Sunday morning and new/returning players are always welcome. Well done to Tracy, Claire and the rest of the Sligo Ladies on their league win at the weekend. Well done to the club representative on the St. Attracta's Juvenille team who overcame St. Muredach`s College in the Connaught A semi final. The club hosted the first quarterly draw of 2013 in Flynn's Pub Aclare on Friday last. The first prize of €1000 went to John Pub Gallagher, followed by the two €500 winners which were Ray Tobin and Noel Brett. The 4 €250 winners were Jimmy Walsh, Raymond McVeigh (Boston), Mickey Mac and Thomas Crummy. 2 €200 prizes went to Stephen King and Dermot Cawley. Lastly the 10 winners of €100 were Pat Normanly, Thomas Normanly, Martin Baker, Karen Gallagher, Patrick McIntyre, Ciaran Haran (Letterkenny), Christina + Sheila Walsh, Nora McVeigh, John James Gilmartin and Niall Surlis.
