The Hurling AGM took place on Friday last in the Hillary Rooms, Banada. Club Chairman, Brendan Leonard, congratulated the Senior Hurling team on their Dermot Molloy League victory this year. The team bridged a 29 year gap in winning the competition. He congratulated all the players and thanked the management team of Jerome Quinn, John Lang and Tommy Burke for their hard work and dedication over the year and wished them luck for the coming year. The meeting highlighted the importance of dual players to hurling in the club and this will be encouraged throughout the year at all levels. Brendan also congratulated Tom Brennan, Rhue, on his personal achievement this year. Tom was selected on the Nicky Rackard team and this brought huge pride to the club. The hurlers have been given a huge boost for 2015 with the return of Patrick Quinn from Dublin and Seán Lynch from England. It was also noted that help is required for the development of underage hurling in the club. If you would like to become involved, please contact John Lang.
The Ladies AGM followed where the success of the triumphant U-12 girls was the main talking point. Brendan thanked Leo Gaughan, Patrick and Sharon Hegarty, Katie Walsh, Anna Corcoran and Sinead Mooney for their hard work with the girls in achieving huge success in the 'A' Championship and winning back to back Community Games titles. There has been a number of changes to the Ladies Management set up which can be viewed under "Club Committee/Manager 2015".
Brendan thanked Dermot Walsh for his 10 years service as secretary of the ladies section in the club and wished Maureen Walsh all the best in the new role.

For Club Supporters, near and far, our main annual fundraiser is taking place over the month of January. Our €5 National Lottery Syndicate Club Tickets are available for purchase at present. The €5 enters you into all National Lottery games as well as Euromillions. There are 4 Quarterly draws with prizes from €1,000. We also have a end of year draw where all the winnings of the year are shared. In 2013, we handed out €21,300 worth of prizes. The ticket can be purchase with a one off payment (€260) or through direct debit on a weekly (€5) or monthly payment.
