The Senior men overcame Ballymote in round 7 of the division 1 league on Sunday on a final score line of 2-16 to 1-3. This was an impressive
performance by the team in their last league game before their showdown with neighbours Curry in round 1 of the Senior Championship.
Supporters urged to get behind the team as they bid to retain the Owen B title. The game takes place on Sunday at 6.30 in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry.
The Division 4 men beat Geevagh is round 3 on the league on a scoreline of 2-7 to 6points. Some great defending from Ciaran Carty
and Adrian Gallagher, well take points from Alan Seery, Colm Mullarkey and Darren Walsh and goals from Shane Brennan and Aidan Walsh proved
to be the difference. The team now have a break, their next game is the 2nd of June when they take on Owenmore Gaels.
The Minor boys team beat Coolaney/Mullinabreena in the Sheild Semi final on Friday last on a scoreline of 4-11 to 1-8. They now play
rivals Tubbercurry in the final of the shield tomorrow night (Thursday 17th of May) at 7pm. Once again supporters are asked to come out and
cheer on the team!
The U-14 boys continued their excellent start to the season when they made in 3 wins out of 3. The team showed their class beating Ballymote
in Round 3 of the league on Friday on a scoreline of 7-12 to 3-7. They play St. Johns in Tourlestrane this Friday at 7pm and your support
would be hugely appreciated.
The U-12 boys gave a powerful performance to beat St. Molaise Gaels in Round 1 of the league. The team worked really hard throughout the game
and won 19points to 9points.
The Senior ladies recorded an impressive win over St. Michaels in round 6 of the league on Sunday last. Excellent defending from Laura
Neary and Claire Colleran combined with great scores from Claire McIntyre (3-2), Niamh Kelly and Tiffany Murtagh paved the way for a
7-7 to 1-8 win for the girls. The team play Curry this Sunday in the last round of the league at 12pm in Tourlestrane.
The U-12 girls continued their good run in the league with a win over rivals CT gaels recently.
The U-14 hurlers enjoyed a good win in round 1 of the league against Castleconnor when they ran out winners on a score of 4-2 to 1-1.
The U-16 hurlers play Glencar Manorhamilton tonight in round 3 of the league at 7pm in Tourlestrane.
Well done to U-16 players Darren Leonard, Rian Kennedy and Ciaran Walsh who represented the club when they played for the Sligo
Development team in Thurles at the weekend.
Well done to Senior player Brain Egan who was recently nominated for a Cadbury Hero of the Future Award after his performance in the
Connaught U21 championship.
