Our Senior men's team drew with Curry onSaturday evening last in Tourlestrane in round 2 of the league. The team were down by a scoreline of 0-5 to 0-1 with ten minutes left in the second half but a quick brace of points and an equaliser from Pat Harte left it level at the break on a score of 0-5 each. A John Kelly equaliser on the 52nd minute secured a point with a final score of 0-10 each. The team play St. Mary's, who currently sit top of the league, this Sunday the 20th at 5pm in Tourlestrane.
Our Senior ladies team recorded a fine win over old rivals, Drumcliffe Rosses Point Gaaat feb weekend in the 13 a side league. The team now look set to qualify for the league semi final. The team will enjoy a team bonding session with water adventures at Lough Talt this Friday.
Our Junior football team kicked off their season on Sunday last when they played Ballina Stephenites in a challenge game. The team was Matthew Lang, Colm McVeigh, Shane Neary, Peter Mulholland, Jerome Quinn, Niall Durkin, John Paul Lang, Oisin Kennedy, Sean Quinn, Pardaig McVeigh, Riain Kennedy, Robert Gavigan and Ruairi Brennan.Their next outing is this coming weekend when they play Bunninadden in Round 1 of the Division 4 League.
Well done to our u-16 boys on their excellent start to their league campaign. The team take on Coolera/Strandhill in the next round of the league on Monday in Tourlestrane.
Our U-12s start their league camp again tonight (Tueaday) with a home tie with Eastern Harps.
The minor boys are also in action this week when they take on Enniscrone in round 4 of the league.
Sligo GAA are holding a one day camp on Thursday, 24th April in Curry GAA pitch, 10am to 2.30 pm, cost is €5 per child and you can pay on the day, all age groups welcome.
