At the Club AGM, last week, Jackie O'Hara, Cloongoonagh, was elected as a Club Patron. In this small way, we recognise the contributions made by Jackie over his lifetime involvement with and unwavering support of Tourlestrane. Congratulations and best wishes to Jackie.
Also on the night we held the draw to divide the winnings from the National Lottery Draw between the members of the syndicate in total there were 31 x €100 in prizes given. Thanks again to all our member's last year and to the members who have already signed up for 2013. While we all understand the difficult financial times we are in at the moment we would really like to gratefully acknowledge our appreciation for the positive reception we have received from all.
The managers for the underage teams in the coming season are: Minor: Richard Kennedy, Stephen Henry, Enda Kelly and Alan Dunne. U-16: Mattie Brennan, Leo Gaughan, Matthew Brennan and Gary Gaughan. The Ladies AGM will be on Saturday the 19th of January at 5.15 sharp in Hilary Rooms followed by Hurling AGM at 6.30pm.

Congratulations to the Senior Hurling Team and management on winning the Martin Brennan Cup Final in Tourelstrane on the 29th December. The team overcame Western Gaels by the narrowest of margins on a scoreline of 1-6 to 1-5.
The club would like to wish Kevin Walsh and the Sligo Senior team the very best for 2013. The team have got off to a great start recording two good wins in the FBD League. The club was well represented by Brian Kennedy and Adrian McIntyre in the teams 0-14 to 0-5 win over IT Sligo. On Sunday last, the club was represented through Adrian McIntyre and Brian Egan in the teams 0-14 to 1-9 win over NUIG. The game took place in Tourlestrane.
Training for U-8s in Hall on Wednesday eve from 6.30 -7.30pm and u-10s from 7.30 -8.30pm.
