The club would like to congratulate and send best wishes to Eamon
Haran on becoming Senior team manager for the coming season. Eamon
played for the Senior team for a number of years and was influential
in winning the Owen B Cup in 2004, 2007 and 2009, Leo Kenny Cup, the
Division 1 league and the Kiernan Cup. Eamon succeeds Neil Egan, who
stepped down after two years back in charge after guiding the club to
its tenth senior championship title in 2011. The club would also like
to extend best wishes to Brendan Egan who has transferred to St.
Vincent's, Dublin, due to work commitments.

Indoor Hurling for U9, U11 & U13s every Monday evening in Banada Abbey
Hall from 6-7pm. Indoor hurleys provided but please bring a helmet. A
rota to help with supervision will be drawn up if some volunteers are

Well done to the Sligo Senior Mens team on their win over Antrim at
the weekend. The club was represented by Adrian McIntyre. The club
would like to wish Brian Kennedy a speedy recovery as he picked up an
injury in the teams defeat to Roscommon.
The Senior Ladies team returned to training last Friday night for
their upcoming season. All new/returning players are welcome to join.

Aisling Egan who has transferred to St. Jude's, Dublin, for the coming
Hard luck to the Sligo Senior Ladies team who lost out to Down in
round 2 of the National League. The club is represented by Tracy
O'Hara and Claire Colleran. The girls play Armagh in round 3 of the
league in Sligo IT this Sunday at 2pm.
Best of luck to St. Attracta's Community School in the Senior Senior
Final against St. Joseph's College, Galway. This game takes place next
Thursday the 21st of February at the Connacht GAA Centre at 12.30. The
club has numerous representatives on the panel and your support would
be greatly appreciated.
The Tourlestrane GAA Website has been updated with a section titled
"Training Drills". This section is there to aid with the training of our underage
stars. It is divided into Warm Ups, Carrying Drills, Passing/Receiving Drills,
Scoring Drills, Tackling Drills and Games. There are different levels at each

Congratulations and best wishes to the birth of the newest members of the
club.. Meave and Donal Fallon, Christine and Derek O'Hara, Irene and
Sean Fitzsimmons, Orla and Kevin Harrington all on the birth of their baby
boys. Also congratulations to Mai and Tom Kennedy on the birth of their
first grandchild, former ladies player, Emma and had a baby girl recently.
